A new smart home control experience: here is Freedompro Home

What do we want from a smart home?
Above all else, we want it to be truly intelligent: adaptable to our daily needs, flexible enough to adjust to dynamic lifestyles, simplifying the most mundane and repetitive tasks, and, most importantly, easy to control. Beyond helping us save on bills and making everyday life more convenient, a smart home should also be intuitive and quick to manage – in other words, user-friendly.

Starting from this principle, we’ve revamped our app: officially launched on April 17, 2024, Freedompro Home doesn’t just allow you to manage all connected devices from a single interface, solving the annoying problem of switching between different apps on your smartphone, but also does it in a simple, fast way with the added benefit of several additional features.

Freedompro Home: An App to Manage Everything, Anytime and Anywhere

As mentioned, the main advantage of Freedompro Home is that it provides the opportunity to manage and monitor connected devices using a single interface. Since both Smart Modules and Easykon work directly with your home's electrical system, you won’t need to rely on different brands and their respective apps. With just our app, you can keep everything under control!

Even more simply and intuitively, you can pair every device in just a few clicks thanks to the guided setup, and organize your devices by favorites, categories, and rooms. If desired, you can also rename these categories with terms that are more familiar and practical for you, perhaps to define specific areas of the house, like the living room. A couple of examples? “Rooms” or “Groups,” very popular among Alexa users.

The super user-friendly interface is not the only thing the new Freedompro Home app offers: you also have the ability to monitor in real time – yes, live – the total energy consumption of your smart home, and even that of each individual accessory. (Soon, you will be able to use this feature to trigger specific automations, but we’ll talk more about that at another time.) This allows you to keep track of your utility bills, turn off devices left on unnecessarily, and make your home more sustainable, both environmentally and economically.

And Then There’s Habits: Customizing Your Smart Home to Fit Your Routine!

With the Habits function available on the Freedompro Home app, your smart home adapts to your daily habits – or even improves them – saving you time on various tasks and making everyday life more comfortable and simple.

Thanks to a scalable and extremely powerful scenario engine, soon to integrate even more specific and advanced automations, you can use the app to adjust the state of your devices (turning lights on and off or raising and lowering shutters) or create real “habit chains.”

Imagine setting up this Habit: from Monday to Friday, at 7 a.m., the shutters automatically rise, and the kitchen lights turn on. That’s your first Habit. Then, let’s say you create a second one: once Habit 1 is completed, the coffee machine turns on and starts heating up, getting ready for your first espresso of the day.

Still not enough? Perhaps your grandfather needs to get up at night to use the bathroom. To reduce the risk of him stumbling in the dark, you can create a simple Habit: from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day, when the bedside lamp in his room is turned on, the event string will ensure the hallway lights and bathroom lights also turn on automatically.

Another example? When you turn off the entrance lights at 10 p.m., the shutters of the house will lower. And since your child can’t fall asleep if his room is completely dark, the bedside lamp will only turn off after 15 minutes – a reasonable amount of time to start dreaming!

You can therefore not only set up Habits where events occur simultaneously, but also delay specific events in relation to others simply by adding a delay between them. The only condition for creating these Habits is that all the devices involved must be connected to Freedompro devices, whether Smart Modules or Easykon.

Setting Up Your Habits is Easy

The process is really easy: you simply define the elements that make up your Habit starting with the event you want to occur (like your morning routine, saying goodnight, or keeping your grandfather safe), and then create an event string to be triggered manually or automatically. In the latter case, you only need to add the starting conditions we’ve outlined earlier. And if you want to make sure your smart home works just as it should, you can even receive a notification that your Habit has been performed correctly!

Practical, simple, Freedompro: when do you begin?
