A new smart home control experience: here's Freedompro Home

What do we desire from a smart home? Above all else, that it's truly intelligent: adaptable to our daily needs, modifiable for even dynamic lifestyles, simplifying the most tedious and repetitive tasks, and, above all, easily controllable. Besides helping us save on bills and making everyday life more comfortable, the smart home should be intuitive and quick to manage – in other words, user-friendly.

It is from this principle that we revamped our app: officially launched on April 17, 2024, Freedompro Home not only allows you to manage all connected devices through a single interface, thus solving the annoying problem of switching between different apps on our smartphone, but also does so simply and quickly, with several additional features.

Freedompro Home: an app to manage everything, anywhere and anytime

As mentioned, the main advantage of Freedompro Home is that it allows you to manage and monitor connected objects with our devices using a single interface: since both Smart Modules and Easykon act directly on the electrical system of your home, you no longer need products from different brands and their respective apps. Our app suffices to keep them all under control!

You can easily and intuitively pair each device with a few clicks thanks to the guided procedure and organize your devices by favorites, categories, and rooms. If you wish, you can also rename these with a term that is more practical and familiar to you, perhaps to delineate entire areas of the house like the living area. A couple of examples? "Environments" or "Groups", highly appreciated by Alexa users.

However, the super user-friendly interface is not the only thing that the new Freedompro Home app offers you: you also have the possibility to monitor in real-time – that is completely live! – the total energy consumption of your smart home and even that of each individual accessory (soon, you'll use this feature to activate specific automations, but we'll discuss that another time), always keeping expenses on bills under control, turning off devices unnecessarily left on, and making the home more sustainable environmentally and economically.

Then there are the Habits which, with Freedompro Home, interpret automation in a new way: even smarter, more practical, and more tailored to your needs.

Habits: shape your smart home around your habits!

With the Habits feature available on the Freedompro Home app, the smart home adapts to your daily habits or even improves them, allowing you to save time on various activities and make everyday life more comfortable and simple.

Thanks to a scalable and extremely powerful scenario engine, soon integrating even more specific and advanced automations, you can use the app to change the status of your accessories (turning on and off a light, or raising and lowering blinds) and create true "chains of habits".

Imagine setting up this Habit: from Monday to Friday, at seven in the morning, the blinds automatically rise and the kitchen lights turn on. Here's your Habit number 1. Now, imagine creating a second one: after Habit 1, the coffee machine turns on and heats up, preparing your first espresso of the day.

Still not enough? Grandpa needs to get up at night to go to the bathroom. To reduce the risk of stumbling in the dark, you can create a simple Habit: from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am every day, when the bedside lamp in his room turns on, the event string ensures the hallway lights and those in the bathroom automatically activate too.

Another example? When you turn off the entrance lights at ten in the evening, the blinds in the house lower. And since your child can't fall asleep if his room is completely dark, his bedside lamp will automatically turn off only after fifteen minutes – a reasonable time to start dreaming!

So, you can set not only Habits with events that occur simultaneously, but also delay specific events relative to others by adding a delay between them. The only requirement to create these Habits is that all devices involved must, of course, be connected to Freedompro devices, whether Smart Modules or Easykon.

For the rest, the process is very simple: just define the elements that make up your Habit starting from the event you want to occur (the goal of your habit, such as morning wake-up, evening bedtime, or ensuring grandpa's safety), and then create a string of events to activate manually or automatically. In the latter case, simply add the startup conditions we exemplified earlier. And if you want to be even more certain that your smart home behaves as it should, you can even receive a notification that your Habit has been performed correctly!

Practical, simple, Freedompro: when do we start?
